Birthday Eve

Normally, I don't post about my birthday, but the day before or after my birthday every four years rings an important event in American politics. Today was the inauguration for the newest President of the United States. Regardless of how I personally feel about him, or how anyone feels about him, we have to hope for the best of our country. With that being said, I will guarantee that most if not all of my sites will remain politics free, so you can feel as though this is a stress free zone. With that being said, this weekend, we've taken a little trip to Saint Augustine. Tomorrow is my birthday, so we figured that we would just get away instead of throwing the usual party to celebrate. I haven't packed my laptop, so there won't be many photos posted, however, I've brought both the Fujifilm X-T2 and X-T10, so I'll be able to get a lot of photos of the sights around town. I like photographing the same places over and over. I find it as a challenge of sorts to find new things to photograph or to shoot things I've shot before in new ways. I've brought two cameras mostly because I couldn't decide which I wanted to take. Which, I think, is the struggle of being a photographer with a good collection of cameras. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't also bring a film camera just in case, as well. While I do prefer the X-T2 overall, the X-T10 is just a bit more compact, and with that and the 27mm pancake lens, it's great for street photography. All in all, I'll probably switch back and forth between the two.Be sure to follow me on Instagram (http://Instagram.com/specialkolin) to follow along with our trip! For now, though, I'm going to kick back and watch some more Storage Wars, because it's the only interesting TV right now. Let's be cliché and remember to be the change you wish to see in the world.
